LEFEVERE TO DECIDE ON QUICK-STEP FLOORS TEAM’S FUTURE BEFORE TOUR

Patrick Lefevere, Quick-Step Floors team boss has said he is not yet sure as to the future of the team considering the unavailability of a title sponsor for the squad beyond 2017.

Lefevere is seeking to confirm a title sponsor for the team before the year runs out and has noted that he would take a decision on the future of his team before the Tour de France starts out in July.

Leading the 2017 win count so far is the Belgian WorldTour team, which includes the likes of Marcel Kittel, Tom Boonen, and many other stars with 13 victories. Following closely behind is BMC Racing with 11 wins and Orica-Scott with 10.

Speaking to Het Nieuwsblad newspaper, Lefevere said:

“The sponsorship agreement that we have only covers this season and we still haven’t managed to find someone who can take the place of the Quick-Step,”

“In four months, we’ll look at everything and before the Tour de France, we will decide the fate of the team.”Continue Reading
