Boels-Dolmans comes back to Women’s WorldTour Philly Cycling Classic

Philadelphia Cycling Classic organizers G4 Productions have declared that the twenty teams that would take part in their 1 day Women’s WorldTour event held on 5th June, in Pennsylvania. Boels-Dolmans, team of the defending champ Lizzie Armitstead, would be on the start position with Canyon-SRAM and Wiggle High5.
In a press release from the organization, USA Cycling Chief Executive Officer Derek Bouchard-Hall told that Philadelphia is a magnificent cycling city along with a grand history in their sport, and history is about to be made again with the inclusion of Philadelphia International Cycling Classic on UCI Women’s WorldTour.
The PICC is an established and wonderful event here in the America, and their prestige, along with the UCI assortment, makes this an international place for the top cyclists in the world.
Armitstead became victorious in the Philadelphia International Cycling Classic last year after she sprinted up Manayunk Wall ahead of Alena Amialiusik and Elisa Longo Borghini. The event would mark the 9th round of Women’s WorldTour. Armitstead has won 3 of the 6 rounds as of now at the Strade Bianche, Tour of Flanders and Trofeo Alfredo Binda-Cittiglio, and she is presently leading the ranking.
